What’s Good Y'all!!!
Happy November! Lately I started noticing how much soul and talent comes out of London. A lot of artists I love have come from the UK past and present, from the Beatles to the Spice Girls, Amy Winehouse, NAO and now my latest obsession BINA. From Southern London BINA is an upcoming R&B artist we should all be on the lookout for. While there isn’t too much out there on this new artist, yet, I did find this awesome article on BINA from New Wave Magazine that served her justice!
Chaos Is Her Name is the title of her second released studio album. The album is only 7 songs long and worth all 21 minutes of your time. My favorite song on the album that I have played over and over again is ‘Sleepless’ featuring Essence Martins and Leonie Biney. It's a spellbinding sound that touches the soul when describing one of those sleepless nights where your mind is just running and thinking about anything and everything. The way aloof of their voices melodically melt into one another on this track along with the production of it is truly beautiful. ‘Bossy’ is another favorite of mine, it's a beautiful jazzy, sensual bop that gives hints of influence from Kelis, just with a UK twist.
‘Precious’ is the fifth song on the album that's another smooth, jazz vibe. I love the way Bina vocally sounds on this song, the harmonies along with the lyrics really do something to me.
