What’s good y'all? HAPPY WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH!!! If you fell in love with Lady Gaga in 2008, guess what? She’s BACCCCKKKK!!! Now with that being said, this album is nothing like 2008 Gaga, she’s grown so much since then! Vocally and musically! But this album seems to be reminiscent of the 2008 Gaga era. For those who may not know Gaga took a different musical route in 2014. Popping out with legendary Jazz singer Tony Bennett, Stefani hung up her monster crown and showed the world she was not just a one trick pony! Then in 2016 Gaga released her album ‘Joanne’. While still a pop album, it had less of the techno, party vibes we were used to from Gaga. She then went on to surprise us even further with roles in ‘American Horror Story’ and the remake of ‘A Star is Born’ with Bradley Cooper. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’. Lady Gaga starred in this phenomenal film with Joaquin Phoenix as Harlequin. I know a lot of people hated that movie but I loved it so much, I mean, to be fair I love musicals so there is that lol. But now here we are with her 7th studio album and I couldn’t be more excited to have MUVA BACK!

I love to dance! I don’t care who is watching, where I am or what I am doing, I am most likely dancing and singing. This album has officially been added to my playlists and I did not know how much I missed Gaga. I’mma be 100% real with y’all. I love this ENTIRE album. It’s unfathomable to pick which song is my favorite. This album reminds me of the first time I listened to ‘The Fame’ album. I was blown away by how fun, free and fresh that album was. Years later I am met with the same vigor listening to ‘Mayhem’.
‘Garden of Eden’ is one of my songs on the album. It has a fun techno-pop/synth-pop vibe. ‘Zombieboy’ was another fun tune. This song gave more of a disco vibe, I instantly thought of Donna Summer. ‘How Bad Do U Want Me’ makes me feel like I’m in my own 80’s music video, Think wild, teased hair, my best colorful spandex and singing my heart out in my bedroom mirror with my hairbrush in hand. ‘Blade of Grass’ is a surprisingly slower ballad I wasn’t expecting to love as much as I do. It is not only beautifully sung by Stefani but equally well produced.
I love how Gaga has grown with us, every album has truly shown how she has grown as a woman and artist. Check out Gaga's Latest album below and follow on IG:
